H1 bulb or D2R bulbs.

He could have aftermarket HID's in the car....esp if he bought the car 2ndhand.

Doesn't necessarily answer the question really. H1's are halogen and D2R are the OEM HID bulbs, but if he has an aftermarket H1 HID kit then it would light up like the D2R does.

Of course what is the OP's reason for knowing?

I want to throw in some brighter bulbs that's the reason for knowing

If you mean install 6000 or 8000K then you are installing dimmer bulbs.

OMG now I'm really confused I thought the OEM lights were like 4300K therefore making them dimmer then 6000 or 8000K

I have 8000k and I see fine and bright as hell . Dimmer only the rain sumtimes but ts fine still everything with clarity.

Most people use 6000k and 8000k
