My Quad Projector retrofit

Well I am one lamp down on my Quad setup, Low Beams are going to be RX330ASF clear lens, Fogs Are going to be FX with clear lens.

Heres my info from a thread I piggy backed decided I needed a thread of my own.

And its time to getterdone!!!

I went with the ebay JDM blacks.

These: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=435004882003

They seemed like the best (JDM) LOL black housings on ebay. And the best discription.

Projectors are going to be FX projectors had them for years way back when they had the FX recall and the market was flooded with them mated with Purple coated clear lens from JDM ( Love how that word is thrown in the title) Junk mustang projectors scored from my sis' n laws failed attempt at clearing her lamps hacked and melted lamps.

Shrouds are going to be theretrofitsource Gatling Gun shrouds.

Bulbs & Ballast are gonna be Toyota/Lexus D4S 4100K reason I am going with these vice 5K 6K I rather my lens and projector give me my color and cut off instead of the bulbs my personal preference.

The FX and Gattling gun Shrouds will be on the bottom, The RX and IS250 Shrouds will be up top, I will post some pix tonight all the trimming and measuring is done on one lamp just need to aim and mount. After that comes the clean up and install.... Which me luck.

On to the pix:

Now that all the trimming is done, I need to aim and drill mounting holes and start on housing number 2. Final aiming will be done on the car seal up leak test and roll out!!!!!

Went back to the RX330 ASF, just fit better up top. And didnt see the point going quad Bixenon. Here is a quick oncoming flicker vid, will post cut offs later.

Cutoff Pix taken with Iphone, 15-20 feet away.

You'll need a H4 harness that will allow you to keep the "low beam" on (the fog light) when the high beam is triggered. On the stock lights, if you have the fog light on, the high beam filament of the H4 bulb is off. And vice versa. Without the harness, if you hook this up to a bixenon projector, you'll just get the shield moving when you flip on the high beam, but no actual light output.

I wont lie. its a nice job. and with more practice and the right tools, (assuming you dont already have them). It has lots of potential. I would maybe go with different shroud selection to help shape the inside of the headlight around the projectors and form a cleaner seam with the surrounding housings, and some symmetry between the two projectors. I'm actually a full time professional Retro-fitter and Automotive Lighting specialist, in addition to a DIY Modder. I rarely allow anyone to do work on my car. In the rare cases, Its only if I dont have access to the proper tools needed for the job at hand. I would love to do a retro-fit for you. You know how to get in touch with me.

Whoa I was sure you were a dick, guess I was wrong, thanks for the encouragement I already got the shrouds figured out they wont be a issue.
To address the seams and lines of the cut outs I will just paint the reflectors black. Hey can you send me some pix of your work I would love to see them and get more ideas, I spend hrs of my work day watching DIY's on youtube and searching to get ideas and know how. I def dont have the right tools, a drimmel and a drill I am still learning.
