blacked out/clearcoated headlights.. looks good but bad night vision

I got my headlights blacked out at a very reputable body shop. They were sanded, clearcoated, the whole 9 yards. Looks great but visibility is terrible at night. Any ideas for improving brightness without damaging the paint or undoing my new paint?
I have an '04 with stock HID's
at least you wont be able to see the cracks, better yet, able to see anything at all! hahaha!

Same for me; mine looked more like your last photo. The first dealership I went to told me no and the second one tried to tell me no. I told them this was a defect of no fault of my own [and probably some other things] and they had some manager call me back. He went ahead and took care of it for me.
