Quote: It's tough for me to take this seriously, since this is your second post. I can't believe the thought "this might not be a good idea" never occurred during this process.

Here's a simple question I ask before I do any modifications "I wonder why no engineer at Nissan ever thought of this idea?" You may find that useful in the future, or you may not...that is your decision.

I guess one solution for you now that you can't see at night because you painted your headlights is to do something like this:

Best wishes.
My 2nd post on this forum, yea. The G is not my daily driver, so before you flame me and tell me you can't take me seriously, consider the fact that I rarely drive at night and I was going for the look more than anything else. If I needed to upgrade my lights to compensate, I would have done it - point blank period.

I also got a phenomenal deal on getting the headlights painted along with the tail lights, so I went for it. I love the way it looks, can still see at night (just not quite as bright), and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. So in response, I still do not regret my decision or consider it a bad idea. There's pros and cons to almost any mod you do to a car

Quote: I think its time to upgrade to some projectors
I'm happy to do this! I haven't had the G long, so I don't know what's required. Is it a retrofit, or do they make a projector kit for my car?

Quote: Really? His car won't even pass a safety and you think he's not going to get tickets for something that makes his car invisible at night?

Hmm.

Ckez, he used base clear. It's a translucent type of paint.
got it inspected with the lights blackened already. you seem to know a lot about it the way it looks, never having seen it at night. It's very visible at night lol

shouldn't you be setting the turkey table for your parents?
Advice? You don't think all of the previous posts have been advice? You really need a dictionary if you are trying to tell people to stop posting their advice on a topic asking for just that. Wow you have quite the illogical argument there.

And to the OP, what do you want people to tell you? Put higher wattage HID ballasts and bulbs in? Choose a different "color" bulb? You sound like you knew you were making a very unsafe and unwise decision, nothing to do about it now...

no you purchase 06-07 headlights from any g35 coupe and they are plug in play to your 04 with swapping over your OEM Ballast from your 04's

Do you think this would help solve my issue quite a bit?

Yes purchasing 06-07 Coupe head lights would completely resolve your issue. Just don't paint the outside of the head lights.
