you need to get ballast and bulb because the fogs are not stock hids. Also for those of you who have the matching projector and fogs what lights are you running in the signals and corner markers? I bought clear corners and leds and led turn signal bulbs but they do not match the color of the projector and fogs. Any suggestions?

If the place you buy your HIDs from supply LEDs, try to buy whatever matches your fog lights as it's aftermarket matching with aftermarket, while the lows are aftermarket mixing with OE which gives mixed results. The thing about LEDs is unless they are from a good quality business (I recommend V-LEDs as ALL of their lights are consistent with what they're supposed to be and superb quality), they may differ in color ever so slightly. And that slight difference in color may make all the difference in perfect execution.

Personally I got tired of the "blueish look" and went white with yellow fogs (6,000k lows appear 5,000k in the projector with 3,000k fogs) and this definitely takes away the headache of trying to match everything. But again, I really recommend V-LEDs cause I have 5,000k LEDs in certain sopts and they are EXACTLY the same color as the other.

Do some research and understand the 'bi-xenon' bulbs. Because the 05 lights have the fogs as foglights and high beams, you can either use a single beam bulb (very effective with zero problems, but you lose high beams), or you can go with those 'bi-xenon' bulbs which are more expensive but you keep both functions. Though I will tell you right now I have NEVER had a good experience with bi-xenon bulbs.

ok thanks for that info the only thing is everyone has been saying that the projectors take a little of the bluish look away but i bought 8000k for the projectors and 6000k for my fogs and they not matching. They are very close but the projectors are still a little bluer so i think im going to buy 8000k bulbs for the fogs and try those to see if they match. Also gonna check out V-Leds thanks for the info

Yeah that's why I emphasized on "my experiences". All I can say is good luck to you. Matching aftermarket kits with the OE is a pain and a lot of trial and error before you get it, IF you get it.

I got 5,000k lows from V-LEDs and they looked nothing like my girlfriend's full HID kit from them with 5,000k as well.

If you really wanna make sure they match, you can always buy an aftermarket igniter and ballast from the same company you bought your foglights from. That way, the quality of the ballasts (which is the most important thing when it comes to color aside from the bulb itself) match with your fogs.

Ye it annoys me so much that they are not a perfect match even though I barely even see them. I can't keep it like that I guess I'm going to have to keep tryig new bulbs till I get it but it's such a pain in the a$$ and waste of money.

So i installed my hid fogs today and you cant close the back circle plastic part because the wires come out from the hid. To keep it closed as tight as possible i used elastics to keep it closed. What have you guys done?

That's a pretty good idea I think I might just do that cuz the elastics look stupid and are a pain if I gotta take them out again

I read some place that in most states with emissions tests also have light tests and most states like cali and Washington require that all " fog lights " must be yellow. So anyone with matched fogs watchout in Cali its a fix it ticket until u get 3 and its a point on your license .

Oh rEally well that's good to know for people who live there, I live in Canada and we need to have running lights which are my fog lights unfortunately, I think it looks stupid to have the hid fogs on during the day so I'm going to get my local audio and lights guy to rewire my side markers as my running lights.

Now that some time has passed since the last few posts I've made on this thread, I've learned a lot of new things. They are probably not what you wanna hear and will probably not answer your question but I'm gonna throw it out anyway.

It all depends on the quality of the company you're going to. Whether it's the bulb that matches...or the ballast that matches, or like my problem, the headlight housing is messed up anyway.
https://g35driver.com/forums/lightin...ng-cutoff.html

I've given up and deciding to go quad projector...

Unfortunately it's trial and error, so just get the 6,000k...if they don't match...well then good luck to you.
