Got new gauges installed on my 2004 G35 A/T coupe

I like them. I was never a fan of the orange lights in the interior. The shop that installed them for me told me that they could do an entire LED swap for the remainder of the orange lights for around $225 - $250. These gauges are overlays and you can switch from white to blue and adjust the intensity. The installer took out some of the orange lights in the cluster that lit up the odometer/speedometer so the orange would not bleed through. What do you guys think?

^ It sure does look, Sweeeeet...!
Wanted to get this done for a while now but the DIY that uses LED's as opposed to overlays is a PITA.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did that run you and where did you get it done from.

Got them on ebay. I think that they just came out. I am no way affiliated with them, btw. But seemed like a decent price for the only aftermarket gauges available for the G35. Then I had a local MD shop that I use for custom audio stuff install it for me (for another $55) I am very happy with them. I will take more pics later. I am trying to make my needles light up bright red.
Here is the link to AUTO

And here is the link to manual gauges:

Oh, and the installer disabled the orange backlight just to make sure that the orange wouldn't bleed through. He ordered a couple of blue leds to replace the odometer backlight and the gear selector backlight to blue. Can't wait!

Wait so it's the whole gauge cluster? That looks badass.... I hate the factory lights.

Yes. They are overlays. I absolutely love driving at night with them. So sexy.

Will do. The only thing that I noticed was that the windshield washer cutout is over the VDC light so when you turn the VDC off, you see it come through the windshield washer cutout but it really doesn't bother me cuz 1. I almost never turn it off and 2. Small price to pay for not having to stare at the orange lights.

i was actually just about to post a new thread asking about these.

could you send me some bigger pics please?
And what exactly are these? just overlays that use the white lights that are already in there? If so, how easy is the installation? Or is this a new assembly?

If i were to do this myself... to get rid of the orange , would i be able to just dremel out the orange film on the certain parts and overlay a blue or white film instead?

Thanks in advance! I got my 2004 g35 a few months ago and im starting to mod it now. I just replaced the interior lights with blue led's and ordered 2 12" strips for the footwells all last night. a new dash would complete the look !
