Edit: nvm, even when "on" they will turn off in 5mins...

how do i install HIDs to the high beam.. which are the wires for that

Another small thing that I might add to this is if you unscrew your high beam cap, you can run the wires through the headlight and you won't have to drill any holes. I also ordered the slim ballasts from DDM tuning and two of the screw holes will line up perfectly where the factory ballast bolted up.

Can u do that if u install these into the foglights?? I don't want to drill holes in my covers..

That I don't know. I'm going to order a fog light kit from spec-d tuning that mounts in the oem lower grills and convert those to 35 watt hids so I could have a wider and brighter beam.

So my question is this on foe the green and black wire that you cut is it coming out from the oem ballast end or the end where the plug plugs into the ballast and also what about the plug on top of the head light the black one and then the plug that plugs into the ballast do those just become use less?? Also does this procedure the same for G35 sedan with HID?? Because from what i see the wires that plug into you ballast is just the black an green but on the sedan it a little different it has the black and green but also has a orange cover wire running into the ballast too. So if i just cut the green and black will affect any other lights on the sedan??

The one to cut is the one going directly to the ballast. You can see it fairly clearly in the picture he provides. You want to use the wires that are running into all of the other wires and then into a harness, rather than the end that goes into the ballast plug. Not sure if that is easy to understand or not; it feels difficult to word properly... I think he is doing it on a sedan but I suppose it could vary depending on year. My 06 coupe has the same two black/green wires as him, though. No orange wire involved in this project... The green and black wires he refers to will affect ONLY the lowbeam bulb (assuming non bi-xenon).

Also to note when doing this, the capacitor that goes from the green/black spliced wires, mentioned earlier, into the aftermarket ballasts can be switched in polarity so make sure you pay attention to which wire is going where.

Is the 55 watt HID worth it? Will 55 watts make up for the crappy HID low beams on 03-05 coupes?

I just wanna say thank you for this diy, you have saved me some money, however, I do want to correct something. You said the green wire is ground and the black is power. That is not true, the green is the power and the black is the ground, because I've tried it your way and it didnt work, then I switched the wires and it work.

As for your question, in my opinion I think it is worth it to get the 55watt hid, they are really bright, better than 35 watt.

And "upgrading" ballasts to 55W is a bandaid solution. If you really want to be able to see better, you have to redistribute the light. i.e. projector retrofit.

Additionally, I have heard that DDM ballasts are closer to 43 W.
