projector retrofit?

I did partial projector retrofit on my 03 g35 sedan headlights.
I used Morimoto mini projector as low beam in the bottom part(hi/fog).
now I want to install a pair of projectors to the upper part where the low beam used to be.
Morimoto seem to fit but think it will require cutting and shaving.
Is there any smaller projector I can put on the upper portion of the headlights with minimum cutting and shaving involved?

I dont think there is a smaller projector than the morimoto that has similar performance.

they will fit up top, i actually did the opposite as you. the do require a good amount of trimming to get them to fit tho. how difficult was the retrofit in the bottom location? i'm getting ready to open up my lights again and finish off the quad retro...here's a couple of pics to show the morimotos up top

That's a great job fitting the morimotos and the shroud up top.

this looks very nice! I think I'm gonna put the morimoto on the top and get slightly bigger projector for the bottom portion of the headlight.
To fit Morimoto to the bottom portion(Hi/Fog) can be done in 2 min.
It just fits in without any modification.

If you are worried about trimming your stock shroud (from the sounds of the first post), then try to source a broken sedan headlight and rip out the bezel and do some practice cuts on it to get an idea of what tool to use, and how to make the cut to make it clean and get the shape you need. Having a spare shroud to practice on worked well for me. Good luck!

The top of the 03/04 is much bigger then the 05/06 so it can be done. I am able to fit a fx35 projector up top on the 03/04 with no trimming on the housing, were its a more PITA for the 05/06.

If you want something smaller and not care about performance then TRS has the blazer fog projectors thats almost twice as small then the morimoto's. Something to consider if you want looks.
