get a buffer and some meguiars scratch-x.

if you dont have/dont want to buy a buffer, use some elbow grease and it will come off.

Which cleaning kit did you use?

When I first bought mine they were hazed. I bought Turtle Wax Headlight Restoration Kit from wallymart for $8 and it did a great job/brought them to 100% new looking.

I just recently used RainX's Headlight Restoration Kit. It was a pain in the *** using the tiny pieces of sand paper they provided but it got the job done. I had enough left over to do 2 more cars.

It got my headlights back to almost brand new condition. If I were to do it again I would buy the same product and buy additional sheets of fine grit sand paper. I'm not sure what the specific grits were but they were very fine.

i used mothers aluminum wheel polish worked great i had to re do it every 2 months or so but only takes 5 minutes.

it may also be on the inside of the lens. earlier g35s had an issue with the housing cracking which would let moisture inside which im cure could lead to hazing of the inside of the lens, but im not sure if that woudl affect you g since you have an 05

It stays for a good while. I do it like every 2-3 months (using the same kit. you get ample with the $8 kit. Should last you 3-4 "restorations"), but yeah, ever since headlights have been shining.
