Headlight Lens Swap

Good Morning VIETNAM!!!! ha

i have 2003 G35 Sedan and have extremely hazy headlight lens' and was thinking how much of a tragedy it would be to spend 700.00 dollars on new Xenon Headlamps. So here are my options and they become limited to due trying to stay away from custom modification, well as little as possible. but yes any ways.

Option A: Is it possible to just buy a pair of headlamps off of eBay for 150.00 and put them in the oven for 7-8 minute then do the same to my stock headlights and just swap the lens cover for the clean new ones and re install them? as long as the clips line up and what not. I do imagine that aftermarket headlights are replicas as far as design n'such.

Option B: Go to www.turbometal.com and buy there xenon aftermarket black housing headlamps for 300.00 bones which is a good deal because no modification needed and you get to keep your stock HID's but i dont really want black housing lamps because my exterior is 100% stock. and would like to keep the chrome housing but nobody makes them in chrome housing as far as i know for a fair price! if you do please let me know!

Option C: ELBOW GREASE and do the headlight restoration kit which i have done but i got to be honest they need alot of help. (does anyone know of a great headlight restoration kit? that can do some serious "WONDERS" )

What headlamps from ebay are you talking about for $150?

Personally I'd just do the headlight restoration kits. I used Turtlewax one and it made them look better than brand new, and I used elbow grease, no drill. So a drill would obv be better.

Would you be interested in shipping them? I can work wonders and turnaround time is just a couple of days.

Try C: first. I've read that the 3M Headlight restoration kit is a great one to buy.

I did option A: a few years back. From my experience, the aftermarket lens doesn't mate up to the base 100% with the clips. It sits a tad higher on one side. I needed to add additional sealant on the outside to keep the condensation out.

I think i will try and restore the headlights first there is a couple people i have come to my where abouts lately and for 40 bones they will do it so i think i will try that route first i have done the 3M kit before but idk if it was just me not putting in enough elbow grease or what but it wasn't like new so i will just let someone do it for me. btw G35panda did you get your bumpers and skirts off of strafeautomotive? and what could u tell me about your kit?
