So I jumped on a pair of 06 projectors w/no ballasts for my 03 G35 coupe without doing my homework. Now i am trying to figure out if/how to make my 03 ballasts work with the new 06 projector housings. Is it possible to use the old ones - there is nothing wrong with them? Do I need to hunt down 06 ballasts? PLEASE HELP!!! Any sound advice from experience would be greatly appreciated here! Thanks Guys!

 

They are plug and play so you can use your old ballasts no problem....end othread

 

Ok, but if I decide to upgrade the bulbs do I buy for 03 ballasts or 06 housings> I really over think things sometimes. thanks for the help!

 

You would have to buy d2s bulbs since d2r are for reflectors. <- dont know if its necessary but advised
Ballasts should be plug and play into the new d2s bulb as it was from the old d2r bulb.

The ballasts will work with the 06 as they are p&p. Shouldn't need any major modifying. Enjoy your sweet find in these lights!
