Are the new 06's bi-xenon? I know the new 350z projectors are (however they do not have the foglight near the bottom).

Little room at all. Dust over??? The back black cap?? Yes but its tighter that I like it.(mean it rubs the back of the bulb connection.)

Yes the 06 a bi!

Thanks WRAH. I went with Stanley projectors (TSX) with E46 3" Bi-Xenon shrouds. Just waiting for the parts and driver side headlight to come in the mail. Hopefully, I can start this project this weekend!

Pete, I'm waiting on the same parts well I already have the tsx projectors but I'm waiting on the e46 bezels and d2s bulbs. Maybe we can help each other out on this, like what to watch out for and tips for aiming the headlights. Good luck

Kenny,

That would be great. Is there a reason you didn't use the stock bulbs? You know you can covert the bulbs to D2S very easily. Anyways, my only concern is the TSX projectors and if they will be an easy fit onto the reflector bracket. I do not believe I have seen anyone online who has used TSX projectors in a Coupe's headlight housing before. Most people use Bosch or Valeo projectors.

I have a spare set of headlights so I am going to take my time on this project (I am also converting the clearance strip to LED). There is an awesome aiming FAQ here:
Headlight AIMING FAQ
I will definitely be using that to aim my headlights.

Pete, I have seen one other person that used tsx projectors on a coupe check this out: http://www.6mt.net/forum/viewtopic.p...ght=projectors
this guy used tsx projectors. It looks like we will have to mount the projectors behind the reflector mounts as in his pics. Let me know when you get started. Oh, I just wanted new bulbs I didn't want to do all this and go short on the bulbs. Personal preference I guess. Plus I don't have spare headlights so If this retro-fit doesn't work I still have the d2r bulbs intact. Good luck pete.

IMHO, thats mounted WAY to far back!!! Our lights are so deep that if you mount yours like this your going to get CRAZY glare from the sides of the housing, that and your going to lose all your width!

Wrah did you push your projectors out with spacers (Between the projector and the reflector bracket) ? The good thing about Stanley (TSX) projectors is that they are totally enclosed. They also have a trim piece similar to what you used from HIDPLANET already installed. The only downfall is if you push them out to much it might look strange (Lobster eye effect). Especially since these projectors are rather small. I will see how they look but I might go with larger projectors in the end. Just have to see how much space there is.

WRAH,

I looking at having this Mod done. Question, I have been told that there will be glare from the Housing if kept in the original color around the Projectors? Have you had any issues with "Glare" This place has told me I can go either way but suggested painting it?

I Like your look

Here is what I am looking at

If you place the projector foward enough there will be minimal glare. You also have to make sure that the projector is properly shrouded so that there is minimal light escaping the sides of the projector. There are a few people on this board who have gone without painting their housings with no problem.
