Why anyone is bothering with orange bulbs is beyond me.. The law has absolutely NOTHING to do with the color of the light on the side.. but rather the fact that if its pitch black out, they are meant to be amber to REFLECT that oncoming light of a car so the car is more visable, like the reflectors on a bike.

This has been discusses so many times.

It's simple. My car is garaged for the majority of the day and driven at night. Amber bulbs make the clear corners look legal when lit. I'd be more likely to get pulled over with a white or blue bulb.

I am thinking of getting clear corners and stealth bulbs with the silver coating. They dont give that amber tint to clear corners when off and they light up amber. PIAA makes those also.

How is the light output on the silver coated bulbs? I've seen some before, and they lose alot of light output! It might have been a generic no-namer bulb. So how are the name brand silver bulbs? How do they light up compared to regular conventional amber bulbs?

I have them on order, got some cheap ones off autolumination. Those are the only ones I could find in 168 wedge type. The PIAA ones are the 7440 kind ( that go in the front turning lights and rear signal markers ) But my car wont be here till the end of the month so I should have some pictures soon ater that.

sylvania makes the silver coated ambers and they are very bright and have great color. I used them on a clear corner mod I did on my Lincoln LS. I do not know if they have a bulb for the G35 but I will look around and se what I can find.

i'll post mine up alittle later. it's a clear bulb that lights up orange. instead of using expensive stealth bulbs that you have to buy over the internet. or masking the bulbs and painting the top silver or buying orange bulbs causing egg yolk

Does anybody know what the NISSAN part# for the clear corner lamps are???
I'm researching the idea of offering them at our dealership to put on some cars on the showroom floor. Thanks for the info!!

I don't think Nissan/Infiniti would sell parts that turn your car illegal would they?
