Urgent help replacing fog/high bulb
I was switching back to my all seasons this weekend and though it was a perfect time to replace the stock fog / high beam with some after market ones. After a lot of messing around I finally get the bulb out and replaced it but now I can't figure how to get the stupid spring retaining clippy thing back on. I didn't get a good look at it when I was taking it out because of the awkward positioning. Please help.
I changed out my stock fogs today as well, the second time around so it was a bit easier.........if you take a look inside the housing where the bulb fits, you will see on either side (at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock) two small grooves that the spring clip fits into to keep the bulb tight against the housing mount.
You need to squeeze the clip, one side at a time or together, and work it into the slot. You will know when its secure......the bulb won't wiggle or move any longer.
I hope this helps.....and I was going to take pics for a DYI but I got lazy and loosing the light of day.
