too many headlights
I took this pic documenting the number of headlights in my living room. This is not even including the 2 currently on the car with the X5 projectors. The second set from the left is what's eventually going into my car. The taillight at the end is from a G35 sedan.
Eventually I'll get rid of all these lights. If anyone wants a junky passenger side light (no bezel) to mess around with, let me know.

The first one is actually one that I did for someone who had one of my previous retrofits, but he was in a car accident, so one side of the light got trashed. I not doing any more retrofits at this point for other people, but I was the only one who know how to redo his lights, since I had already retrofitted them.
The other set is 80% complete with TSX low beams and TL fog/highs. Those are going into my car. I was hoping to get these 3" clear lenses, but I don't know where they are, so I might have to proceed without them.
I'll eventually get rid of the lights by doing retrofits in my spare time at a slow pace, and then selling them on ebay.

Here's a better shot in the daytime. The owner will pick these up tonight. The bezels were blacked out with high temp primer, high temp gloss black, then high temp clear enamel. They're quite shiny even without the plastic lens over them. I just have to seal the lights now.
It's a lot less stressful to retrofit when you don't really have a deadline. The more time you have, the more time you can really get at the small details, like the aiming of the lights.

The clear lens I just do myself. You can buy a large sheet of acrylic lighting panes at Home Depot for $7 each, and you'll have enough to do 100 signals. You just need a dremel to shape the acrylic into the exact shape. It only takes about 10 minutes to do this.
I'm not able to take on any more retrofits, so I don't really have a price for what I'm doing. After I finish my quad projector project, I'll take my current lights with X5 projectors, black out the housing, redo the shroud, put in a clear signal, and then probably sell it on ebay. I might put RS6 bixenons in the fog/ high beam section.
Then I'll retrofit another set of E46 projectors into another set of headlights. But we're looking at maybe 3 months into the future for this.
That quad projector project has already taken me 3 months to get to this point. Alot of time was spent figuring out how to mount the projectors, fabricating a custum cutoff shield for the TSX projectors, and getting the aiming down. There's someone on hidforum.com that does very good quad projector retrofits in Norcal, and I think he charges at least $2500 for a quad projector setup with S2000 and TL projectors.
