There is a member here who retroed S2000s into the low beam portion of his lights. Also, "Larry" on hidplanet did a quad retro with S2000s.

You can make anything "fit" if you really want to. I would just be sure you realize what you are getting into. It seems that $$ is a factor in your decision and if that is true the 06 lights will end up being cheaper (This is the economist in me talking).

Projector retros aren't like buying an off the shelf product and installing it. There is a lot of fabricating involved. For example it would take me less than an hour to install/aim 06 lights. It took me 50+ hrs to get my projector retro completed. Anyways, it is your decision.

if you want to save yourself a lot of headache and hassle, just buy the 06 headlights.. people like Pete and Albert (E_K) who are able to do these retrofits are awesome.. they are very meticulous and precise.. like Pete said, it took him 50+ hours.. if you're willing to put that in as well, you can try.. good luck with your decision..

is the fitment of the 06 lights flush with the body or is there a gap near top where the hood meets the lights? saw one of the cars with upgraded 06 lights and the outer part of the light doesnt seem to be flush either.
wondering if thats the case with the rest of you guys who got the upgraded lights.

You have to mount the TSX projector onto the reflector, then I trimmed one of the "ears" off the TSX projector and made a shroud. Then you have to trim the bezel in certain spots. I'll try and get a good pic up tonight, after I hopefully finish mounting the modified TL.

you can aim the 06 projectors? How do you do that? It seems like the cutoff of my 06 headlights has a sharp downward slope...

e_k pictures please.

and yes you can aim FACTORY headlights.
and this thread is labeled retro or 2006 headlights.(decsion between the two)
then evolved to how to retro in different ways then the two-three retro diy's i've seen.
there are other threads for your needs please ask them there
doing this will only mess up things and not make the search function useable

so.. if i get the 06 headlight housings and retrofit it into the 05 headlight, I'd still have to open up the cover/lens or whatever its called and risk condensation?

when you buy the headlight housing you will get the duct block in the rear and the lense in the front. no need to open up your 05 headlights. direct plug and play. 05 and 06 housings/assemblies are hid housing. the only difference is the d2s bulbs in the 06 housing and the d2r bulbs in the 05 housing. (and there is a thread about bulbs...

E_K do you have pictures?

Man o man, I'm confused. I thought I wasn't before but now I am. Let me pass this by you guys and you guys tell me if I'm wrong or not.

If you wanted to upgrade to the '06 projectors, you would need...

1. '06 light assemblies
2. New HID bulbs (i think D2S?)
3. New bulbs for the fog/signal/running

Then all you do is mount the new assmbly, install the bulbs and plug all the old connectors into their mounting? Then you're finished?

Also, how in the world do you aim the projector HID's???
