Do you think you can re-upload pictures? They don't seem to work anymore

There seems to be wrong information about unplugging the harness and the DIY'er didn't explain it. Not a very good DIY.

So once you unscrew the 4 bolts on the headlamp if you try to pull the headlamp out it will not come out because the wiring harness is still plugged. There is not enough room to unplug it either. The reason is the connector is on a holster. It is secured to the headlamp so that the wiring harness doesn't move around. It is secured by sliding it on the "rail".

Here is how you remove it. When you are facing the headlamp, if you pull the headlamp out slightly you will see the connector. Use a flat head screwdriver and insert it between the connector and the headlamp. You will insert it to the side of the connector. You will use this screwdriver as a crowbar to slide the connector off. Tilt the screwdriver towards you so that the connector is pushed towards the back of the car. Once the connector has come off you can pull the headlamp out further and you will have much better access at unplugging the connector.

The release button for the connector is facing down so all you do is twist the connector up and then use a flat head screwdriver to push down on the release button and separate the connectors.

This is the proper way of doing it. I saw about 10 posts telling people to break it! That is not a good idea. The harness design is not bad, it was just bad information given out.

You take the 3 screws on the ballast, and of course make sure the gray connector on the side is removed as well. Then you slowly pull it out. Inside there will be another connector which you take out and you may also have a yellow ground wire. First remove the screw for the connector inside and then remove the connector. That is all you need to do.

Red face Universal Lighting eyes Headlight Kit

I am considering purchasing this kit for my 2005 G35. I found it on CarID. I was looking for LED headlights and stumbled across this. I like the Audi Led light look. I was wondering did anyone else try this? The customer reviews were of the chain as a nice assessory.

In fact, I used this thread when I modded my headlights.

I guess my point should have been more clear. OP hasn't been active for over a year, so he won't know you are thanking him...

Thanks a lot, YT35... now you made it weird!

This was GREAT show me type.... Got my long extensions on my 10mm made those 2 screws on the front 1\4 panel come out very easy.

I also put tape the full length of the fender all the way to the tip and doubled it up to protect the paint.
