2006 Headlight conversion

I recently got in a pretty bad accident today. if you would like pics ill support. my front left headlight shattered. Housing and ballast and all. Im considering doing the 06 headlight swap. how much do they usually run? and where is the best place to get them? body shop guy said that a replacement headlight would cost about 1000 dollars. wouldnt it make sense to just purchase the new headlights and getting some sex appeal to the car?
thanks in advance

DO a search, some people have been getting a pair for about 500-600 without bulbs. BUT there is a long backorder on these so it may not be any time soon you can get one, atleast for cheap.

yeah just the housings(I believe).
Same price as the one in Ebay $630 shipped for both.
But if you look at Infiniti-parts.com it shows that the housing does come with the ballast. They do not sell the ballast seperately.

ya the accident was pretty bad. body shop guy said w/o even opening anything up min 4-5k the headlight itself is almost 1k. needs new hood, fender, grill, bumper, radiator holder and yes that wonderful headlight which hasnothing but wires left. impact wasnt bad just the result of it.
