I finally got it off after I dunno how long.... but I need to redo the bumper. After i screwed everything back on, I noticed some foam was sticking up behind the bottom grill.

After about 3 hours of work... lights look awsome!!! I modified my stock bulb, but will have some osram D2S coming in soon. got piaa mirror bulb in the blinker, and silverstars in the fog. I know its not a good match, but I don't plan on using the fogs much anyway. these projectors are way better than the reflector housing! I will post pics as soon as i can borrow a better digicam. as you can see, my pics weren't such good quality at the top.

and Fini, you need to get beam patterns, like 20 feet away and 1 picture next to like a long wall.

I bought the housings from Chad as well, and my Philips Ultinons came in today. All i need is the H1s and the other small bulbs. (not sure which ones i'll get) but im hoping to do the install Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning.

cant wait!

06 headlight conversion

Hello All,

I just installed the 06 headlights on my 04 coupe last night. And i agree with some of you that the most difficult part of the install was removing the wiring clips, not much room to move around in there.

I have the following bulbs in my car:

McCulloch D2S 6000k HID bulbs (not as good as the phillips Ultinon, but only cost me $100 for the pair)

PIAA H1 4000K xtreme cool white plus bulbs

PIAA 7440 Chrome orange beam for the turn signals

PIAA GTX 194 for the city light

Thanks Chad for hooking up the headlights!!

and congrats to me for my 1st post, let me know if you guys have any other questions

Glad to hear all the great happy ending with the installations. These lights look so much better than the reflector and put out a much cleaner beam of light, there's nothing like it.

Got a chance to take some more pics.

Anyone notice that the right is aimed slightly higher? I've read that other people has this problem also? is it normal?

The lights look great Fini. I believe the right headlight is aimed a tad higher to assist with lighting up road signs.

Edit... I decided after my noobish post to go out and order "better than stock" bulbs. I got 2 chromed extreme white 194's and 2 chromed amber 7440's from www.autolumination.com. I then ordered a pair of PIAA xtreme white H1's from http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo....mber=PIA-11655 .
What did you do to your retroed lights?

they are meant to be that way. the left is actually a lil lower so that you dont blind oncoming traffic on the left of you.

if you see RHD cars, it's vise-versa. and the beam pattern looks good to me. mine looks the same!

by the way, I installed mine Saturday night! i couldnt wait till Sunday morning lol
