eh he, oh yea, screw that car, more pic of the chick.

I have yet to open the tail lamp assembly myself but I did something similar to my previous car, the Accord.

I'll be working on this project once I'm doing with the audio system.

I think AccordFreak would agree with me on this since we're comming from similar background.

i asked topsecret about this and they said its was a one time thing. they have no plans to offer this to anyone. also the clearcorner.com are way too expensive and dont even come close to as looking as good as those above.

I've looked into this months before i even bought a G. At that time, clearcorners.com was working on a prototype for the G tail lights. Then the TopSecret GT-R came out and I saw the tail-lights on it. Was exactly what i was looking for.

I'm still looking at what i can do to get the dual rings for the G's behind.

Here's my take and info... the clearcorners.com tail isn't what's on the TopSecret. Clearcorners modified tails don't look as good or have the true dual ring look.

My communications w/ TopSecret (july '05) told me it was a one off, just like what was stated before. However, the cost they gave me was about $1300 (forget if it was each or for a pair).
=============
I found out who made the LED inserts....but they cost a small fortune. (about $1300)

Thank You,

The link no longer works, but try this one...

http://www.nagisa-auto.com/products/led.html (again... a one off production for TopSecret so no actual products for the G).

Now, the '06 looks like it has a LED ring in the turns... anyone have an idea of how to eluminate these (without the inner bulb) along with the larger ring? Anybody that has taken apart a '06 tail light assembly or know if a simple rewiring can produce a dual ring... please PM me!

For some reason I dont like how they go from large inside to small outside. I like the R34 's from small inside to large outside. The sedan has'em the same size, dont they? I like the stock after burner look over the Top Secret. It even looked strange to me in the video. FLAME AWAY!

^ I agree with the Large outside and small inside look...((or even same sized rings) true GT-R look) but w/ the shape of our cars i don't think it will look too bad.

Only pictures or seen in person will tell...

I don't think it will be that hard to put LEDs in there (coming from someone who's done a quad projector retrofit), but the hard part is getting those lights opened up. They're not sealed together with the same butyrl rubber like on the headlights. I think they're cemented together, so heating them in the oven does nothing. If anyone can figure out a way to open them up without cracking/chipping the lens, let us know.

I have an extra tail light that I wanted to tear apart and try this with (got the whole thing on ebay for $15!)... don't know how to open it up though. Like he said, I tried to do the heatgun thing like with the headlights, but after about 15 minutes of nothing I gave up. Any suggestions or DIY for opening the tail light would be great!

nycxwillxd - lots of ppl are interested in this mod. for my self i would like to see dual rings that light up when braking and the outer circle blink whes signaling. hey also change the reverse light to match the 06 reverse lights well your at it but with out that button. which i feel is out of place.
