Ohh damn...thats nice, I need to find out how to do that.

I wonder how it will look when you turn on your turn-signal.

I always have like the LED turn signals on the new high end luxury cars.

One.

Anyone ever noticed how similar in size the smaller ring looks like the size of the 05+ sedan tail light rings? You can hit up a junk yard or even get a new pair on ebay for $400 shipped. A pair should be enough to do two sets of coupe lights.

That is a very good idea. Mght help with getting a consistent look.

It's not just a "ring" of lights, the taillight itself is molded to the LED bulbs. It will never look OEM on the coupe if modified. You'd have to made some sort of circular breadboard w/ LED's on it and then place it in there. Just placing it in there would require some major cutting.

Hooked it up to the car just now, seems to work great! Here's 3 pics - one with the lights on, another with the brakes on, and the last one with the blinker on. I have a video too, but the quality is real bad.

I'll try to get a better video clip up... this gives you the idea though

Basically... had to rewire them, mount them and trim the inside of the light housing (they won't fit otherwise). By far, the hardest part is opening the lights up.

I going to black out the light and replace the reverse/signal bulbs with LED clusters... already ordered the LED's, just waiting for em to get here. I'm also looking for brighter LED's for the outer ring since they're not as bright as the inner ring. While they're the same lights, the outer ring doesn't have a cone for each LED - so they're not as bright.

What color led's are you using? I've read somewhere that if you use red led's you will get better results than using white led's passing through a red tail light lens.

So how's the taillight mod going, got the brighter LEDs for the outside lens yet?
Your right...w/out having the cones in the outside bezels it's going to be hard to match them up perfectly.

Hey, did you ever get the cones I sent you a while back? Wondering how your project is going.
