do 06 projectors need aiming from 03-05 conversion?

do 06 projectors need aiming from 03-05 conversion?

i saw a few posts where drivers are saying they need to know how to aim their projectors...i thought they were pre aimed from the factory..is that not the case? of the people here how many have had to aim their projectors after doing a 03-05 to 06 conversion?

i just did the conversion, and i didn't need any aim adjustment.

my projectors need a slight adjustment, only a lil though.

Yeah, when I upgraded the aim seemed fine. They were noticeably lower than my wife's TL though, so I aimed them a little higher. Only took like 1 minute to re-aim the lights.

There's a small silver bolt on the back of the housing that you turn to raise or lower the aim.

I left mine with the factory adjustment. You can see that the left side is a bit lower at normal power.



When you turn the brights on, everything seems balanced, so I left them alone.

jb: can you adjust that silver bolt when you put on the heads and theyre on, or do you have to take them off to do it?

You can adjust your headlights without taking them off. By the way, JB you should aim your headlights, you might be blinding people and you're not getting the full potential from your lights. Before I aimed mine, it bothered me so much because it felt like I was driving a car that was crooked...
