yeah man, the dealership saying that the problem was caused by aftermarket bulbs sounds like B.S. to me. i was detailing my car last weekend and noticed that both of my headlights are cracked in the same spot. I have stock bulbs, except for PIAA's in the clearance strip. I do drive with my fogs alot, but store my car in the winter..well i guess this means i get a fresh set of headlights free of haze, and finally put some of Bat's overlays on

The reason it cracked is because of the HID heat. Early models use HID reflector instead of HID Projector, therefore, these mediocre housings won't be able to withstand these tremedious heats. That's why you see these HID cars usually comes with projectors. They're able to withstand the heat better and shield them in.
'Nuff said, i'm going to swap out for 06
Well, at least, that's what I see in my experiences.

At initial light up, the voltage from HID's are actually higher than halogens, but once they are warmed up, they simmer down, producing lower heat and less wattage than halogens. This crack may occur from colder weathers and people lighting up their headlights. I think of it as someone dropping an ice cube in warm water....
