Hmm, I dont know if I'd want either but thats just my opinion anything over 5 you just end up waisting time during the shift. Your better off just laying down more power than adding a gear or 2

Short answer not worth it too much work.

the short answer is no... but let elaborate for you.... the G35 manual Tran comes with a rev-up engine wich is different from the non-rev on the M35, second the crankshaft are different you won't be able to install the pilot bearing in the back of the non-rev engine from the M35 for the manual tranny input shaft to ride on. The only thing those two engine have in common is the engine block the heads are different
and like i stated earlier the crankshafts are different. With that said its not impossible but would require a lot swapping over parts to accomplish that.

16yo thread, and not correct - manual trans was paired with revup motor in the 05-06 sedans, but there was no revup in the 03-04 G's.

Coupe 6MT Premium RAS
Crankshafts are the same, 5AT comes with a centering plug and the 6MT comes with a pilot bushing. You can remove the plug and put in the pilot bushing.

The CD00X transmission mates to all the VQ35DE RWD configurations, you can use the block from a Z, G, M, or FX. Doesn't matter if it was a rev-up or a non-rev DE engine, the bellhousing is the same, the 6MT will bolt to it.

The bigger issue will be getting the correct ECM, I'm pretty sure you would be able to use one from a 6MT G sedan though. Or just have it UpRev tuned which I think would allow you to use the factory one.

Your short answer is pretty correct though, too much work and not worth it
