Whipple for the 45

http://www.infinitifx.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11212
I encourage you to follow this effort if you are FI inclined. We are hoping for a set up that will fit the M.FX and possibly the Q.
It will be offered in a bolt on at a base level and capable of twice that output. It will be programmed with adequate injectors and fuel pump.

Also in the Hi performance area is the availability of a trans rebuild kit with better friction material.that may become a compaion piece for those stretching the envelop

I hoped you enjoyed reading about my FX in the new Nissan Sport Magazine

Just registered.

If you need some info from us M45 owners just let us know.

I'd be interested in the lower tune FI, tranny upgrades and LSD option for the M45.

Well to tell you the truth we do need a clearance measurment from top of plenum to underside of hood. Hoping for 1.5 - 2" if some one could get me that measurment It would help out alot

Well that's a hard measurement to get...

I had to stick various objects between the the plenum at it's highest point the front of the engine and try to close the hood.

I tried a 1.5" plastic case and the hood wouldn't close. 3/4" wide roll of electrical tape it would close.

So from my observations, on how much the hood had to go before closing with the plastic case, I'd say you have 1" give or take a few pubic hairs.

Not what you wanted to hear. Nor I.

Well one is better than none I guess can't step up to the next size compressor thats for sure guess everyone will have to be happy with the prospect of 800hp or about 1200cfm. Oh well!!!

How thick is the pad on the hood???? about 3/4''???

For real teaser, details in about a week or so
-hi velocity runners to each port
-each runner with a plenum
-twin progressive throttle bodies(excellent.crisp response off boost)
-next size larger Whipple
-cast manifold for easier production
-same air, cooler air with less heat than smaller blower(you should know what that means to power levels)
-intercooler in manifold

The science has always been in the manifold since everything else is "off the shelf"

Lots of areas have been thought and rethought and now to final stages...should be able to report in about a week
