Watch Dvd While Drive (problem) M35/45

a customer of mine has a m35 with stock nav, dvd, reverse cam... everything is bone stock on the car.

Problem: while playing dvd, on dvd screen, tehre is a static film on top of it.. you can kind of see the picture but there is a lot of static. and when you put it in reverse (reverse camera), same thing. but on every other screen (sys information, nav, climate, fm, am ) --- WORKS PERFECT..

Attempts: an infiniti specialist tried fixing the problem by adding his own screen and dvd player, but it is exactly the same problem.

When you unplug dvd player and reverse cam, it is still static.. only when you unplug nav player / rom, then the screen turns off.

so basically, this is what i did to bypass it: when i bypassed the first time, i bypassed the parking brake and speed sense wire; which WORKED for four months straight before this problem happened..
THEN BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP!!! WHAT CAN I DO????

i've been trying to fix the problem for 6 months now, and the screen is slowly slowly slowly getting more color.. just a tabb bit but i havnt done anything to it....

If there is a problem Infiniti should fix it. Even if they have to replace every electronic component in the system.

I'm not sure why you are asking a bunch of owners?

Oh I understand you are trying to bypass the parking brake so you can watch DVDs while driving. If that's the case then put it back to stock and take it into Infiniti.

i've already put it back to stock but then the dealer says that its not thier fault and its not supposed to be like that.. blames the customer that he modded his car w/ subs and audio equip.. but we already took it all out before it brought it into service..

same thing.. service people have it in the computer.. so no more of that.. once thy see that.. they dont want to fix it nemore.

Here's a thought; read this to your customer:

27602. (a) A person may not drive a motor vehicle if a television
receiver, a video monitor, or a television or video screen, or any
other, similar means of visually displaying a television broadcast or
video signal that produces entertainment or business applications,
is operating and is located in the motor vehicle at any point forward
of the back of the driver's seat, or is operating and visible to the
driver while driving the motor vehicle.
(b) Subdivision (a) does not apply to the following equipment when
installed in a vehicle:
(1) A vehicle information display.
(2) A global positioning display.
(3) A mapping display.
(4) A visual display used to enhance or supplement the driver's
view forward, behind, or to the sides of a motor vehicle for the
purpose of maneuvering the vehicle.
(5) A television receiver, video monitor, television or video
screen, or any other, similar means of visually displaying a
television broadcast or video signal, if that equipment has an
interlock device that, when the motor vehicle is driven, disables the
equipment for all uses except as a visual display as described in
paragraphs (1) to (4), inclusive.
