M37/m50???

So when is Nissan going to introduce these bad boys? I'm anxiously awaiting the FX37 for my wife, she doesn't need a V8. Come on Nissan, give the M a fighting chance against the 5-Series!! 390hp/368lbs goodness, in a gorgeous car!

I have no idea. I'm just speculating. I'm guessing they might release it spring 2010 as a 2010 model or maybe fall of 2010 as a 2011 model.

The horsepower of the VQ37 would be too close to that of the M45 so you probably won't see a M37 until the next generation in MY 2011 (assuming a 5 yr model life). By then we should get M37s and M50s.

M50 will not happen, at least not as a badge. Infiniti just lost a lawsuit with BMW over th usage of M5(0). Will have to be marketed as something else.

390hp would rock!

Infiniti is currently working on the M and QX replacement. The M37/M50 will come first. The QX is supposed to based on the Patrol and be built in Japan.

Those are the two products next in line.

After that, we will see either a Lexus RX competitor or a GT-R based sedan flagship. Dealers are pushing for a true RX competitor, because the EX and FX are not cutting it.

Thanks for the replies guys! I plan on getting rid of the G Coupe either at the end of 2010, or some time in the first 1/4 of 2011. I would love an M45, but I think it's truely lacking performance wise....would rather get a G37 Sedan. I guess I have to wait and be patient. Oh and the EX37 and F37 are coming here soon, I read an article last week about that. Supposedly sometime this year I think.

The way the ecomomy is going as well as the energy crisis. I do not think they will be introducing such large engine displancement in their cars. Look at how Audi discontinued the 8 cyl in their S models and replaced them with a turbo 6cyl with is more fuel efficient. I always thought V8 was a waste in a car. Why add weight and sacrifice handling when you can boost a V6 and get the same power if not better.

M5's went from a v10 to a v8 too... The days of bigger is better are dwindling real fast..
