OMG shocking M

I could not believe my eyes last night....

I pulled into a parking lot next to a nice new M35x;
I just about snapped my head off as I turned to see what the owner did to his beautiful Serengeti Sand M....

He glued half round black rubber strips to his bumper...
They were at least 1.5" diameter.

Not one,... but two parallel strips the entire length of the bumper... front AND back

I felt sooooo sorry for that car

ya,ya I know TPWWOP... but I didn't have my camera & it was too dark for a cell phone pic.
Besides..... you really wouldn't want to see it, it would just spoil your day

Im having a hard time imagining how that looks... Try dropping the img in paint and adding what he did or something.

EWWWW, What some people will do to their rides....
He should get some comments on that 'job', and hopefully he'll remove them.

I feel sick.

Must've been some guy that can't park worth a crap. That's what the rear camera is for.

Yeah...they're bumper guards...VERY common in large cities (i.e. Boston..but esp. in NYC). I have mixed emotions about them....I guess if I lived in the City & parked a lot in the City, I would come up with something like that too...esp. if you plan on keeping your car for a long time, and hope to relocate out of the City eventually.... they can be removed later & you're bumper is scratch/ding free! Have you guys ever seen rear/front bumpers of cars that are parked in the city.....bumper against bumper? I would cry if I had to live thru it....it gets really bad! My guess is he knows how to park, but it's for the other people who drive beaters & back into your car when they're parallel parking/leaving a space. I have to admit though, they are FUGLY! Lots of taxi cabs use them too.... At least color match them to your car!

While in NYC I saw too many cars that cost more than I care to think about with them on. Then again I saw an M3 parked up against a dumpster...so what can I say?
