I don't have anything yet, and don't know if the M's shift **** comes off the same way as the G's yet.-- she's still in hibernation.
Without a Shop manual, I can't be much help at the moment, and wonder if anyone else here has the manual yet???????
If you can't find out here, there's a couple 'wizzards' over at F/A who would know for sure at F/A.................CLICK HERE

It will not fit in my 06 G35 Coupe Auto. I tried it today.
There is no way in hell it would fit unless I destroyed the whole shifter mechanism and rendered it useless to go back to stock form.
I don't even think I could get it to fit even if I didn't care about the stock shifter mechanism. It is a totally different design.
BUT...this is for my 2006. I don't know about 03-04's.

Ya, but didn't it look really hot?! Any idea where that thread went?

I have it in my 2005 g35 coupe. I had to saw off part of the black part and because the black tube isn't the same size as the newer G's. I had to go get me this hollow copper tube that was slightly larger than the stock black metal shifter stick. I used that in conjunction with some epoxy to make it an adaquate adapter for the M45 shifter ****.
So now my shifter sits much lower and looks pretty clean. only hangup is that I can't find the clip to hold the shifter boot tight to the bottom of the new ****. I'll probably have to make one out of some thick spring wire or something.
