03 coupe, no sound

Let me start off by saying that I did my research on this issue because i know this is common, but have some questions specific to my situation. Yes I know a double din would fix everything but not in the position to spend $1000 on it.

I have a 03 coupe w/ bose. Two weeks ago, radio/ac controls went. Ac was stuck on and radio could only be controlled from steering wheel but radio was still working, no display on screen. About a week later, radio sound was off completely. Contemplating what to do, I found a whole head unit on ebay for $75. Bought it, replaced casette/cd player and all controls were back to normal with working screen. Only thing is no sound still.

So, could it be a faulty head unit I got? Loose wire/plug/ribbon? I see alot about the bose amp going?

Any input is appreciated, like I said, not really trying to spend 1000+ on a double din. Just trying to make this car last 2 more years until I'm finished with school. Thanks

No sound at all from any source, usually the amp to blame. Get a multimeter set to A/C volts and check for presence of the audio signal at the amp inputs.

If there's a signal there, ditch the amp. If there isn't, check the ribbon: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...e-diy-fix.html
