so i found a place to rechrome my lip but they want me to take apart my maya mrs and give them just the lip to fix. now how do i do that or who can i go to fo that?

 

If you do it make sure you take of the bolts in a star like pattern...one on top, one on the bottom, back up top, back down to the bottom...and when you put it back on make sure you have the correct torque specs for the bolt and nut...

yea it sounds like it.. make sure u know what u are doing..

 

if you have the right tools its not hard at all, if you dont have a torque wrench and sockets dont bother trying

 

depending on the way the wheel was put together, you will have to also reseal the 2 halves of the barrels with some type of sealant. This should really be left up to a wheel shop to do

 

Each 1/2 of the wheel should be marked so they go together the same spot they came apart from. Its hard to explain but each lip should stay with the same inner barrel and the lip should be fitted to the same orentation it came off like the lip shouldnt be off a 1/4 turn from the way it came thus the reason for marking it I hope that makes sence. I know its something I never thought of until talking to a wheel repair shop.
