^^ They Are the OEM Nissan Clear corners. I opened them by finding a small gap between the backing and the clear face, and starting with a knife and then a screw driver very carefully prying the two halves apart. I started at the pointed end of the clear corner and slowly worked my way back. The best part is that you maintain the original groove so that it is easy to put them back together.

i'd be interested to see how the light looks without the chrome reflection under the projector

Did you heat them up first then find the spot or is this something I can find before I heat them up?

You should be able to find it without heating them up. Use a knife, and starting at the corners push the sharp edge of the knife between the seam where the backing meets the lens. This should get you started. I'd probably get it started at all the corners. After that work your way around the whole thing slowly opening it up with the knife. Use your judgment as how best to do it. Just a warning, the glue separating makes it sound like you are cracking the plastic when in fact you are not. If you do it slowly it should come out fine. I've opened two pairs this way now without issue.

I Painted everything but the face of the lens black. If you look at the picture you can see that I painted the all the way up to the face, so that only it was clear. If you choose to do this too, be very careful with the foam strip, if it gets too much paint on it and you squeeze it'll ooze out onto the lens. haha I had too clean that up on the first one.

What do you consider the 'face'? The outer piece that is seen by everyone and the inner part of it or just the outer part.

I'm thinking of the face as just the outer part that is seen by everyone. It probably was not necessary for me to paint the rest of it, but It seemed to make the housing darker. I have a black car so that probably made no difference at all, but if you're car is a lighter color you might want to do it.

hey Ghayes a little off the subject but what kind of paint did you use to paint your grill? is it flat black or semi gloss?

I used semi-gloss black and a couple coats of clear.
