is that piece even chrome? I thought it was panted a gray color from factory. somebody confirm?

LOL I was looking at it on my iphone before and didn't see the arrow. I actually left that piece the same color from the factory. In the picture it sort of looks black but it is actually the standard dark grey.

hahaha ok kool...so u just taped over that piece???? also did you ever see someone not paint the inner chrome around the bulb??

You can actually remove that piece. It's cliiped in on the underside of the shroud so you don't need to mask it. I've also seen quite a few people mask off the projector shroud.
