Transgo Shift Kit = Smile + Chirping

So I just installed my transgo valvebody reprogramming kit with the help of Scott (350z 7k) today. It took us about 4 hours using his lift (the install is very straight forward, just got to keep track of all of the bolts - I used ziplock bags).

First Impressions:
I started it up and drove around at low RPMs for the first couple of miles and I didn't really notice any difference in shifting. I then punched it to see how it shifted and MAN it shifts fast. I was able to chirp 1-2nd gears and 2-3rd gears sometimes which I was never able to do before. It jerks you forward as you shift over 5k rpms (but not in a bad way, just in a sporty feel).

Videos:
Here are two videos of me on the freeway on ramp; sorry if the quality is bad it was a cell phone.

1.
VDC on (doesn't really matter though, it will chirp either way; you can't hear it but it chirped 1-2 here)

2.
VDC off no chirps but it jerks you pretty good

Any cons of doing this? Say transmission wise.

not sure... I remember hearing it actually extends your transmission life, but I'm not sure how

Definitely get it! you won't regret it. This is the best performance mod I've done so far. You can FEEL the difference.

definetly still considering it. i wanted to get the 3.5 or 3.7 rear diff first to see how that felt and then get the transgo. i assume youre still running with the 3.3 rear?

Yes it jerks you forward instead of lagging into the next gear. Much more pleasant when you punch it

Upload it to youtube.com, there is a lot of people who'll look for it there more than looking at photobucket.com, great videos, i can't wait for mine to arrive in few days.

Btw did you install transmission oil cooler? I got HD transmission oil cooler from GTM, i guess it was something around $350, i'd recommend you to get one, even if it was a small one it'll make a lot of difference.

Edit: It would be easier to view it from the iPhone and easier to download it if it was on youtube, thanx.

youtube videos up in OP ; as for the tranny cooler I don't have one, and didn't think it was necessary since I'm not pushing tons of HP (I'm N/A) but do you think it's important to have one? I figured the temperatures wouldn't get too hot if I was <300rwhp

haha if you come down here possibly, but a local shop will only charge you ~$300 for the install which isn't bad.

On another note:
Second day of driving - it seems when the car is not warmed up the pressure is low or something b/c I tried reversing up a hill and it required lots of gas (4k rpms+) in order to even move. I hope this is normal? Any thoughts Chris?
