In a small area, grab some mothers metal polish, and if your microfiber starts turning black, you're GTG.
didnt you used to have a set of meisters? what did you use to polish them or did you have them done at a shop?

still hitting the damn caliper in the lower corner. im almost wondering if its the thickness of the powdercoat thats catching the back of the wheel. i dont really want to have to use a 20mm spacer just to clear the brakes, that would give me a +4 offset up front and i highly doubt that my tires will be able to clear the fenders without rubbing at that point

Could it be rubbing because the face of the wheel is only an 18??

damn....the curve of the meisters must be messing with them then...didn't realize the akebonos were that big....i think Frankie is right now, the fact that its a 19'' step-lip and the faces are 18'' might be affecting the fitment

ya i think thats going to be the final solution. if they were 20in meisters or sp1's then it would be no problem but the faces are just not going to clear without running huge spacers and a smaller tire and those are 2 things that i dont want to do so it looks like theyre probably going to be hitting the marketplace soon and i might just refinish my GTS wheels and space them out a little bit instead

i think thats a pretty good idea man....the meisters definately have a decent curve to them so it kinda prevents bbk's from sitting inside the spokes at all...i loved the gts though so i'd definately just try to salave those man

ya, i knew it was going to be close but i didnt think i was going to have to run that big of a spacer and smaller tire to do it but it would have looked sick with the bbk behind it. the GTS really arent that bad, a little bit of rash on both the passenger side wheels and then the front driver side wheel has about a 2 1/2in rash mark on it so i would think that they can be repaired fairly easily.

ive always thought about doing them as the phantom style gts wheels (gloss black lips with the gunmetal faces), idk though but always thought that it might look good for some odd reason.. quick photoshop i did back when i first bought the wheels just to see what it might look like
