Updates on the LS build list!

After months of searching, finally able to find an oem 04-06 gto shifter assembly set that I need for my T56 transmission to work with the swap kit

Also got a massive Koyo R-Core All Aluminum Radiator. 53mm core versus the regular v-core at 36MMs! Gotta fight the South Fla. summers!

Yea thats a HUGE intercooler. I have the 36mm one. I have no room either up there. How are you fitting almost an inch more up there?

Heyu guitarrocker - the swap kit ill be using positions the LS engine lower and further back against the firewall, so I think I'll have clearance with the right intake.

I'm going back to the cable driven setup (drive by wire is going to be too fickle due to the available engine mgt systems in the market). Therefore, I'm going to be using an aftermarket tach. There's a defi that is from the same line as my water temp/oil pressure defi gauges, so this is what I might go for as the setup. (I think I'll put the tach in front of the oem tach, to avoid having the "big tach next to the A pillar" look.

Btw this is a hacked up picture of my old vortech setup, showing my powerful copy/paste skills in paint

I'm not sure how well that's going to work, the dash is one big circuit board on the back, can't exacly jjust cut a big tach sized hole in it

Hey man long time no see.
Im not planning on having this sit flush in the dash, just over it. It's not too thick. Unless it looks too bad once I have it mocked up, then I'll rethink the plan. The ideal would be to disable the oem tach so the lights are turned off behind it.

Comes with a shiftlight, but that will be relocated. With shiftlight:

Guitarrocker - I know what you're talking about, but I dont wanna spend the $$$ on that right now. Maybe down the line when everything is working perfectly and it's time to feed the mod bug once again.

Ok you guys made me realize that I was about to half *** that aspect of the build....
I'll be going with a full Speedhut set swap, which is the most commonly used brand in the 350 swaps, and it's a good deal.

Should look something like this. The back of it will be wrapped with 3m dynoc carbon fiber vinyl just like the ac accents. Rings will be painted ferrari gray like some of the interior accents like the clock/temp part, door pulls, window switches, etc

Do you still have that tubing piece that was flowing cool air to your cold air intake filter before u installed the vortech? (And obviously b4 the LS swap). What's the name of that part and what brand is it? And if u do still have it, is it for sale?

If you talking about the rectangular part above the radiator, right behind the air diversion panel, that part is OEM and comes with the car. It usually connects to the OEM air filter box. However, the JTW pop charger (the aftermarket filter that you can see) comes with that small foam tube next to it and wraps about the end of the OEM part, and lets you re-use with the JTW pop charger.

I'm not trying to sell any of the parts.
Hope it helped.

Any other questions about that please pm me.

Hey man! Long time no see! We gotta chill at some point, I'll let you know next time I'm up in West Palm.
Yeah that weird kid with the other TB with the CF lip inserts that looked like lobster claws ended up painting a bunch of his car parts that gray after he saw yours during one of our meets weird parts like his rearview mirrors and stuff lol. So I picked up a few of the interior ones to replace scratched parts when I was buying his Kuruma during part out, and it actually looks great with the willow/dinoc cf parts! Gotta rep that Mofomegray lol

2014 C250W White on black. Looks sick from the pics (I haven't seen it in person yet), but clear corners and tints are a must from what I can tell !
