Thanks Guitarrocker, I think I'm going with Carbotech AX6 (autoX pads) or their street version 1251, and switch over to their track pads (XP 10) during track days.

Although no major changes happened lately w the G, here's a pic of it with the other toy, taken during Memorial Weekend before it was forklifted to the water

Attempting to find a suede match to the Sparco's alcantra., in order to get a Nifty Shifty boot made. It is harder than I thought. This one is the closest match so far, but needs to be less yellow/more cream I guess. I will email them this pic and see if they can help me.

PS - I don't have a piece from the bottom or the seat or anything like that, that I can cut to provide them with a sample to match....

I'm in Houston for the week, and took advantage of the down time to drop the car at the shop. It's getting a solid rear axle bushing pressed in, spc rear and front cambers kits installed (rears changed), carbotech pads, rotors turned, and brembo calipers rebuilt. Picking up the car on Thursday and taking it straight to an specialized alignment shop to do 275/30/19 fronts( already got 305/30 rears), then getting an alignment.

I'm hoping that this whole overhaul will make the car perfect at the track, and a step closer to having the flawless handling that I'm trying to achieve in order to resume the path towards the LS6 swap. I won't settle and do the swap if all of the other parts of the car are not up to par with the engine's capabilities to turn the G into a track monsta (taking into consideration the limitations of the platform).

Also got a Escort Smart Radar (the smart version of the 9500x, that connects to the Escort IPhone App via Bluetooth) coming in the mail, through a great Groupon deal (from 459 to 199). Finally adding an extra layer of peace of mind during my caffeine fueled morning commute.

Nismo diff cover, ears, spc front and rears installed, and brembos rebuilt + new carbotech pads.
Hankooks 275s for the fronts get here on Thursday, and I'm hoping to have the car with new tires and aligment by Monday/Tuesday. Looking forward to feeling the difference in handling!

Pic of the rear... the solid bushing has a few love taps in order to get it in there since the old one was is pretty bad shape...

So just an update to those who follow the thread at deeper level than just browsing for pics:

As stated in the last few pages, I have been having issues with the car handling, that were making me reconsider the swap.
After a month of back and forth btw shops, just finalized the car's suspension overhaul.

I'm very happy to say that car is driving AMAZING. I actually don't think it has ever driven as well as it is now. I'm so pumped on how it just grabs the road in turns, and it feels incredibly safe at high speeds as well!

I spent a long time speaking to Orlando, the owner of Autoglitz which is the premier Aligment shop in SoFla, discussing my goals, it's tough to conciliate the perfect balance between a car that is a DD (50miles a day) but still a pretty much a track car, and IMHO he was able to tune it perfectly. Carlos, his right hand man also helped me out so much. That shop is top notch, and I highly recommend them.

The new parts include the 275/30/19 fronts, solid transmission bushing, front spc camber kit, revised spc rear camber arms with toe bolts, ears, nismo diff cover, and new poly bushings to all bushings that had not been changed yet. BC Coils, Stillen Sways and the 305/30 rears were already in car.

Will be taking the car to Homestead Raceway for a full track day on the 20th and will see if the sway bar settings have to be changed at all, but I don't think so from just the very high spirited driving that I did to test the new setup.

I'm happy with the new brake setup as well. Carbotech XP8s in rear, and Carbotech Bobcats in front. Bobcats is their street pad. I will swap fronts to XP10s during track days.

So now that I'm confident about the car's ability to handle the V8 again, I had a meeting with a dedicated LS shop in the area who will be tuning it, and have decided that I will be doing heads as well, so I'm now looking at around 450 to the wheels if it all goes right.
Took advantage of the 4th of July weekend sale at Speedhut and bought full 6 gauge replacement. Blue numbers, LED White needles and silver faces. All military grade sensors, cuz I don't fawk around

Still many months before this is the swap is done though, since it's so much money in parts (still about 10k ), and the car will be down for a month of so, so I'm taking my time and I'm hoping to be done by late September or so.
