Some pics from first track day and general impressions
I finally had a chance to go tracking with this car. As many people had said in the past, we all should go out at least once in these cars. I was out at Streets of Willow in Socal, temperatures in the morning were in the 20s. Haven't experienced temps that cold in a long time.
Onto the pics, there were lots of fast cars, though I wasn't fast (my car's the blue G35).

Quick impressions: This was my first time at a track, I had only done one autocross in the past. My main goal for the day was to bring the car back in one piece. Fortunately the car didn't have any issues. The 6 piston brembos held up fine, the caliper temperature stickers didn't even register, though I wasn't heavy on the brakes. I do have 1 mm titanium brake shims on the front and 0.5mm in the rear.
I clearly cannot drive up to the car's potential. I had a hard time keeping up with people in the turns, and people in Corollas and Tercels, would pass me easily. The car would gain a lot of ground in the straights, but I already know that the car feels like accelerating in a straight line. I felt that I was already going at 99% potential in the turns. Later I asked an instructor to drive my car while I sat in the passenger seat. Well, if I were going 99% before, he was going what would be 150%, and he said that he wasn't even really pushing the car. He was passing others pretty easily.
I probably can only do this once a year, but it's definitely something that I plan to do again. I'll need to not run all season tires next time.

Thanks, everyone.
The GTRs, Evo X's, and S2000 guys are hardcore, and those cars looked amazing screaming down the straights. If you run with those guys, be prepared for them zooming past.
I had to spend all morning today cleaning my white wheels, at least the pics didn't show how dirty they really were.
I couldn't tell if the dirt on my wheels was brake dust or tire rubber, or both.
I'm glad that my brakes held up. There's obviously no need for 6 piston brembos on the regular street, so I've been wanting to do this for awhile. On the front I ran Stoptech Street Performance pads, rears are Nismo brake pads, and I'm running Motul brake fluid.
I would definitely get an instructor to drive your car for a few laps if you go out for the first time. He really showed what the car is capable of, and I think he pulled off a few perfect heel-toe shifts (something that I admit I can't do). One instructor drove someone's Subaru Forrester for a few laps and was insanely fast, showing that it's all about the driver. When the instructors drove their average cars, I couldn't keep up in the curves. When they drive a fast car like a Z06, it's game over.

Brakes that have been put to use.

I'm on Pilot Sport All Seasons, 255/35/19 front, 275/35/19 rears. I used to have Pilot Sport 2's, but got tired of replacing those tires when they were just being used to commute.
I was about to say the same sh*t... Lol I mean you can totally see the ground reflection on your exhaust!!
