Calm the fk down, its still a nissan, and badged here as an Infiniti. You just stated 8 Infiniti's not nissans. Which unless I am mistaken goes right against your argument. The G should have never even been a skyline as it defies everything the skyline/gtr scene stands around which is fast cars that highly mod-able, cheap(er then the competition), and eat supercars for breakfast. The G does neither of those, in fact the g35, or skyline 350gt does none of these. Its fat, heavy, underpowered and the VQ35DE requires more work then worth to get real gains out of it as opposed to the RB26DETT. In fact our cars come stock as NA...which is rather dissapointing considering the Skyline tag.

The reason labeling a G as a skyline is rice is because you are trying to name something a thing it is not. It isn't a skyline, its a comfortable daily driver, which mediocre power, low MPG, and a decent entry level luxury interior... and a good sounding exhaust.

For the love of god it doesnt even have a straight 6, it has a V6. Even the GTR doesn't get badged as a skyline, leave the skyline name to the R32, r33, and famous r34. Now calm down.

 

i want to get in on this pissing match too...

nissan named the car a skyline in japan... so no matter what anyone says its a skyline.
some rice is putting badges on a car that dont belong to it. the skyline badge belongs on this car no matter what anyone thinks.

to the people argueing about i6 v2 v6 in a skyline... look back a few years they had i4s in them as well and youd be silly to not call them a "real" skyline

and everyone is missing a great point here.... arent these cars based on the 350z chassis or fairlady or whatever they call them now?

when you go to g35driver.com the first thing it does is mention skyline along with g35... complain to the mods about that while your at it.

just an FYI, you're not doing anything special. the fact that they're pretty much the same car is what makes it worthless, why a lot of people consider it rice. it's not like you converted an E46 M3 to a CSL(not available in the States), that would be a "purist" type build. all your doing is basically swapping badges to look like a stock JDM car w/the same specs. if you really wanted to be JDM on the v35 you'd keep the infiniti badges considering that, that's the cool thing to do in Japan(unless you wanna tell me that they're not as JDM as you). if you want JDM respect go get some "rare" JDM parts and at least actually do something to your car. before you try and educate me and call me a JDM noob, i lived in Japan and owned a Skyline sedan and i wish i had my G there because it would've been more special. you don't need to get all offended because you named your thread w/very little thought as to what peoples reaction might be. news flash you're on a site called G35Driver, we all know what cars we have. did you really think people where gonna come in here and be like, "oh, wait... what, the G35 is a V35 Skyline in Japan, TIGHT!!!" come on now, really? don't use it's JDM and it's the purist move as a cop out, just say you like your car your way and apparently that way is to look like a stock car in Japan. oh, and the i'm going to sell it and by a GTR move... cool story bro.
