Matte Black G35 Coupe Roof? Check it

Hey everyone, so i always liked the look of a black roof on a red coupe (side note: i have a red coupe). But! I really did not want to have it sanded and painted for hundreds of dollars, neither did i want a company in my area to wrap it with a vinyl wrap for 200 bucks either. So i found an alternative... Plasti Dip! I think it's probably the safest way i can have a nice black roof because if i ever dislike the look, i can just peel it off! So i made a little video, about 2-3 minutes long explaining what i did and how i did it! If any of you want to see it and maybe figure out how to do it yourself the link is on YouTube it is:

Pretty neat outcome, if you like a matte look on your car then plastidip is a way to go, i would never pay for a matte paint job.

I got my HEXIS vinyl for $43 2 months ago gloss black and did it with 2 of my friends. It really isnt hard as you think just patience.

But good job, you got any daytime photos?

I plastidipped my grill too

I hope you sprayed it thick enough bc if not....good luck peeling it back off...

I like the black roof look, I do prefer glossy look over matte. I'm going w gloss black vinyl.

How high did you get off those fumes btw LOL

SO just the two of you? Did you each have heatguns? I'm doing my sedan and I think I'll need like 4 people lol.

Nope one heat gun, try not to use the heat gun too much. Other wise the wrap will have bubbles later, because it will go back to its original size in few days.

You pretty much can do it alone, you just need another person to lay it on the car with. after that its pretty much a one person job. but two will be much quicker

Dont use too much heat or it wont stick, with 4 people it should be really easy to do, doing this by yourself can get annoying

I still think Im just going to let the professionals do it. I'd rather not blow ~100 on a ruined vinyl sheet lol

Damn were did you find vinyll for $100? i paid $43 for mine from amazon, look up HEXIS vinyl, and it doesnt need water unlike the other 3M vinyls, it just stretches a lot so its easy to apply
