Guitarrocker98 progress thread.
Yes, I bought this from a member here about a year ago. The motor was done the way I wanted it. The paint and wheels were good, but not how I wanted. So I decided to do it right and gut it and start from scratch. I've got a mini I drive in the off seasons, I will just continue to use it. That and my wife's audi.
Yea, its my hobby. This is not the first car I have built up, but its the first one I've done on my own. I'm taking of the nose completely right now, and will be painting the engine bay within the next 2 weeks
I had one before and so have other members. The only thing that some people have reported having problems with is the wiring harness. If it starts to go bad you will misfire just like I did.
Here's what it does.

I would say go for it. You'll know if the harness is going bad. You'll start to misfire and or run on only 5 cylinders.

Still a mixed bag on the DLI, but I'm also tossing around painting my engine bay. Now I will do it with the engine in, and just do the visual pieces. I'm probably doing gloss black. Keeping it easy otherwise it will look terrible. Any advice on it?
I would just save your money and put it towards something else. All I really noticed was that my car was a bit more peppy and that my idle was more constant and did not fluctuate.

I wish I had some tools to do some of the mods that I have. I'm sure I would appreciate the work that's been done to my car much more.
