Waiting to see the finished project is what brings me back to this forum lol
Thats it lol... I just started laying out EVERY piece in the garage to make sure once I get the car back I am SET and good... Well Im missing 5 harness's, a double din cage and a cover..... Well here we go final push... May 24th is a large show... IFO is on May 17th... I may miss it.
Got the car back... Any time I hit boost I leak oil BAD... They told me this issue. I need a oil catch can badly... like REALLY badly... I also failed the air control due to a ECU issue.... Kinda weird. Misfires and everything... I dont know if they cleared it all out or not... I may have to go back and clear EVERYTHING. We will see. I also have no cats... I may glass pack the exhaust and then later take out the glass packs to pass emissions. It will be at a car show but then I will have to take it back to the shop.

Freaking sucks.
I hope the shop gets this squared away. It's gonna suck to have the car there for a bit longer, but you're better off getting it to run 100%, otherwise it will slowly annoy you more and more until you hate driving it.

I agree... He said it needed to be done but, he wanted theinterior IN the car to move forward. That way he can run a few tests and get to work. Its only 5 more days in the shop. The Valve cover seals are likely 4-7 years old lol... So I can see why they need to be replaced. I am just hoping the head gasket is good.

I like the way it is all coming together.

One suggestion, The G35 door handles are bulky and dated. You really should think about doing GTR handle conversion. I have seen used handles from wrecks go for $150 a set. It would look amazing on your car.

Dont shave!! I made the mistake of shaving on my RSX, it was a miserable experience. Door poppers are a pain in the ***. Great for show cars that get driven ever couple of week, but crap on a DD. Eventually the relay/linkage messes up and you're crawling through the trunk to get in your car. I took the door apart so many times to fix that crap. Originally Posted by guitarrocker98

The GTR handles are sexy a fawk and mechanical always works. Only thing better would be Tesla handles. But wrecked GTRs are far more common than wrecked Teslas.
hmmmmmmmmmmm and getting those wired in would be a PAIN, but maybe!!!!!
