Hey man! No I didn't, I sent it off to the great beyond after pulling parts from it.

Check it out: https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...win-build.html

I switched to the dark side, I miss having 4 seats.

I mean as long as you don't need to carry more than a single passenger there's no problem Glad you're keeping the crash bumper on this one, fun looking machine.

Been close to 2 months now. Got your p's & q's in order 06G35Coupe94 ???
I think 300 na might be an obtainable # on a typical dynojet, but with cams to go along with all the right bolt-on's no doubt. No chance for 300 on a typical mustang dyno though.
The altima's & maximas have an easier time getting to this lofty goal due to less drivetrain loss via fwd. Their engines are obviously tuned down compared to the vq's found in the z's, g's and fx's (me) and this makes modding more effective and rewarding for them.
You could concentrate a little less on a certain hp figure and more on everything else. For example, a shift kit.

I'd like to see it set up to be attempting to climb out of his engine bay through the ugly gap the hood spacers create

Please do not make posts like that for me to read while taking a drink of fizzy water...it burns my nose on the way out to saturating my phone screen.

I'm no spring chicken but I had to google "g35 hood spacers" to see what you were talking about.

WHY would people ever use these, I can't believe companies actually market these things they look like trash...

The reasons are two-fold: first, you need them when you install a 4" intake cuz of clearance issues. Second, Apparently the vacuum of the intake is so powerful that opening the hood near the cowl gives you enough extra air to create even MORE hp. Lol...I'm not even joking, this is how he's getting to 300hp.

I mean, if that's the case, why run a hood at all? Taking off your hood would give you unlimited air. Unlimited air = Infinite HP right? Of course you'd need to upgrade your MAF to meter it all. Haha

I'd cut a hole in the hood and put in a big shitty looking scoop before I ever propped up the hood like that.

Or maybe buy a hood that actually clears the installed components, but I do approve of bobble head jesus climbing out from under the hood spacer.

Lol no doubt.

There's actually a guy on here who cut out the middle of a camaro "cowl induction" hood and then cut his sedans hood the same way and welded the scoop on the G. Looked awesome. Obviously not functional, but would be great for a top-mount SCer like the stillen. He said he'd make me one, but he lives in TX, so..yeah..little too far.
