Blacked out headlights

Another update!!

Updated pics!!!

Well after my fiasco with not getting my halos today I went ahead and painted headlights. I just got done and its 2am so Ill take some better pics tommorrow after I clean up my car.

So I got my halos and one of them was broke so all I was able to put in was 1 and someone wanted some pics in the sun so today we finally didnt have rain YET so I snapped a few. Ill start a new thread when I get it all done and washed.

So I got my replacment halo on Saturday so I finally got the chance to work on it tonight. Well I got it all installed and back in the car and the M F was a diffrent color then the other 3 I got in my first kit. The replacment was white and the other 3 are a blueish white. The first thing my neighbor said when we hooked them up to test them all and they are diffrent colors and he knows nothing about them. I took some pics but not sure how well you can tell from them.

A little birdy told me how to do it a couple of weeks ago when they did theres with a florecent light cover. Hey what bulb #s are in the front turns. Sylvania has the wrong ones listed for the front 7440 and thats what I bought but they dont work and I forgot what was on them.

Yours look like they came out better than the "other guys"

7440 is the right bulb. Are you going to be using a clear bulb or going amber?

Yeah, it illegal here in Cali too. I'm actually ordering a PIAA "mirror orange" bulb set right now. Check them out. They're painted silver/chrome so you get to keep the lenses looking clear and they blink orange/amber. If you put a true amber color light behind the clear, it will shine through amber which kind of defeats the clearing out the lense.

Yea thats what I have are the PIAAs but they are 7440 and my car has 7443 which is a 2 way bulb. I looked on Sylvainias web site and they now sell Silverstar blinkers which are clear but blink amber. Those are the exact bulbs I have. Heres what my car has in it.

I have the PIIA mirror orange waiting to install… I wonder if the Silverstar are better?...

Buckeye, it looks great in the pics above – no tell of amber at all which is good – does it look that way in direct sunlight? Did you compare to PIIA mirror orange when you decided on them?

05/06 sedans...does your signal lense come on when you turn the parking brakes on? If it does, yeah, 7443 is what you need. My old **** car doesnt do fancy things like that so I'm using the 7440

Buckeye, what grille is that? The frame looks thinner than most I've seen - I like it.
