Interestingly enough, everyone HAD shut up since this thread was dead for almost a month.
Then someone had to go and post pics of my grandma's Lexus. She's got the matching visor for playing pinochle, by the way.

If vip is not carried to the extreme, I like it. I do like the extreme wheel/tire fitments. I don't like the way out there camber, looks like you have lead weights in the trunk. I don't like curtains, it's not a damn hearse for Pete's sake.

Those curtains can come quite handy in various ways. Ultimate form of privacy.

Not all of it hurts performance. Only thing that I can think of that affects performance are the wheels since they would be cambered, but alot of the other things don't affect performance at all...such as curtains, custom interior, wood grain..

Even with the negative camber, I don't really think people with VIP style cars care too much about performance, even though there's quite a bit that are boosted...they don't track their car, just like the majority of the people, so when someone mentions something about affecting performance, is it that often that they use it?

Rice and VIP are totally different IMO, two different worlds. BTW, you don't have to be VIP'ed to hinder performance. Slapping on some aftermarket 19's or 20's will do that..at least with VIP cars, since they run much smaller tires, you gain something, less unsprung weight.

they are totally different yet totally the same, people taking mundane cars and trying to impress people with them

I agree with donpisto. Curtains hurting performance ahahaha. I personally love vip look. Just people do not seem to stay on the fine line between rice and vip. Seems like they have good intentions and then do something to just kill the look of the car.
