Lights say "Japan DOT L" and "Japan DOT R" on the left and right tail lights respectively.

 

i guess we need to check the statutes and see if that qualifies here

 

The only difference I've noticed between the two is the reflective rectangle on the side seems to be different.

The JDM one doesn't seem to be reflective whereas the USDM one is. I'll have to check it out more closely to see if the JDM one is reflective or not.

Most G drivers would never even notice they were different than stock, let alone some random cop.

The only difference I've really noticed on them is that the USDM version has side markers that light up while the JDM's do not.

 

I think that may have been the spot he was talking about being reflective.

I could care less too, but some cops in FL look for reasons to write tickets. They'll pull out measuring tapes, tint readers, **** I've seen a guy get a ticket for a small corner of his license was broke Off
