SxSkyLinexS - Yeah haha! Also I got "Laid off" so no work any more just school. I learned my lesson and should be repainting it soon and hopefully will not have any issues.

CandlestickPark - Yeah I was going to say pick up some smaller ones... I originally was going for the trim the shroud and stick it in... haha then once it broke things got complicated. I had some extra 4x6" metal L brackets for hanging shelfs and I simply cut them to size added spacers under them and bolted the projectors to them. One of them finally tilted the other day, but other then that they worked great. You can make them adjustable by adding long bolts and pulling them back and side to side. Just an idea! Sure you have some genius plan though

Some cheap ebay 30$ ones. I had them on my old headlights and just slapped them on. I don't really recommend them. I will look for some night shots

yeah if they will fit in the housing. And you can figure out some way to mount them and the ballast. Projectors are a lot of work no matter what so I would find some commonly on G's.

CandlestickPark- All the pictures I have at night do not serve the halos justice in any form. You really can't tell what they look like at all. I will try to snap some tomorrow night for you if you want.

For the top opening you really need a smaller sized projector because there isn't much room to work with. Not sure how big the 3 series projectors are but popular smaller sized projectors to use are Lexus RX ones, the little bro of the S2K.

Projectors are amazing. Crisp light that is super bright, but you can aim so you don't blind people like ghetto HIDS. Also yeah I got my projectors from them back in the day ^

This? Do you mean why do a projector retrofit? Drive in a car with projectors and its night and day difference in lighting up the road. Plus they look siiiiick!

Taken from a random site:

"Why retrofit?
Retrofits are desirable for two reasons: Style and Performance.

Style is a big factor for many people. With a sharp lens and a handsome shroud, a well crafted retrofit can stand out from the crowd but still look like it came from the factory. The lenses of projectors remind some people of eyes and it helps lend character to their cars. In addition, the brilliant light a projector provides both in intensity and color will make your car stand out from the miles and miles of standard orange tinged halogens out there. A desirable stylistic trait is the uppermost light from your projector, called the "cutoff", and it can be made to feature vibrant rainbow colors or very deep mesmerizing blues and purples that you can admire any time you switch on your headlights. Suffice to say, there are many reasons why projectors look so good.

Projectors also have vastly improved performance over stock halogens. HID bulbs are roughly three times brighter than standard halogens which means far more illumination of the road. However, because they are so bright, it is difficult to harness their power to both direct it towards the road where it belongs, and not blind oncoming traffic. Projectors are specifically made to do just this. Projectors shape and focus the intense light from the HID's while preventing it from being directed upwards, into the eyes of other motorists. The projectors create a wide even light that puts halogens to shame. Plus, with a sharp level cutoff , they are safe and courteous for other drivers while being efficient and not wasting light by shining it where it is not needed the way halogens do. "

Stock bulbs are 4300K. Yes 06+ Coupes got projectors. 1st Gen Sedans never got them.
