Amazing work, props to all of those involved!

I gotta say, was a little scurred opening this thread, thinking it's gunna be another coupe conversion.

wow, terrible idea to mold everything together. Have fun on the first bump, or hole you hit and it all cracks.

Wow, i cant believe a body shop even performed that work for you.

Unless this is going to be a trailored show car.

^^^ i actually agree. i wanted to mold my rear bumper to the body, and my body shop advised me against it. guess what - i got rear-ended (very low speed), but the bondo still cracked where the bumper was molded to the rear diffuser, and it would have cost me a lot more to fix it if the bumper was molded to the body - i mean, in that case you have to repaint the rear quarter panels... but - if it makes you happy...

These aren’t things I hadn’t thought of… but lets face it, if I get rear-ended, theres a bunch of work that needs to be done anyway including re-paint… besides, I don’t drive around planning to get rear-ended – if it happens, I deal with the project at that time.

As for speed bumps and driveways – I’ve had to deal with scrapping before – I don’t plan to haul @ss over inclines and speed bumps – however, I am curious to see how the front holds up under moderate scrapes… I’m sure the rear will be perfectly fine. The good thing is, it can always be cut and have the “gap” again....

Let’s face it, something like this is not for everyone – otherwise I wouldn’t be the only one doing it…
