Black Headlight mod on my 06 DGM

Black Headlight mod on my 06 DGM

Did the BHLM today...I think it turned out fairly well, didn't chip or scratch anything

I used 600 grit sandpaper to scuff up the housing, wiped all the dust off with a rag, then used Duplicolor semi-gloss (4 coats).





Used painters tape so I didn't paint over the lens, then used the indentation around the lens to cut the outline with a razor blade:

Thanks guys!

I'm still on the fence on whether or not I want to paint the grill black...I kinda like the black chrome (or whatever it's called) grill on the DGM. IDK, well see...

My next mod is to drop it about 1"-1.5" all around. From what I've read on here, I might go with the Tein H-techs

im looking for a drop on the G35x too. im gonna follow your footsteps if it works well for you

I think I've seen the grille a few times but not the emblem colormatched DG while ur at it do the door handles and I would d the rear emblem semi gloss black as well. Maybe some1 can do a photoshop for you

Got to do the grill. It looks good to have the headlights and grill match no matter what color the car is.

if someone had already done it, it wouldn't be as cool (its always way cooler when you're the only one )... go for it! its actually a pretty good idea
