if there are no others, i might go with that. is there a paint that has a deeper look to it?
i saw a BRIGHT RED mkiv supra stanced out on CCWs yesterday that made me choose to go with red. it was the perfect red, no hint of maroon or other dark red yet it shined like a black car. there are reds out there that are very dull (reflective wise)

was it metallic?
the shine has a lot to do with the clear coat.. if it had mirror like shine then it was sure to be a custom paint job.... it consists many coats of clear and wet sanding and buffing back to shine....
yet there are a lot of different reds...
toyota reds you can go with is
non metallic
3L5 bright red
3P0 is a deeper bright red
metallic
3R3 its a bright red
nissan reds non metallic
A20 bright red
A54 deeper bright red

yup i'm looking at automotivetouchup and paintscratch. i made an order on aston martin green but they contacted me and said they don't mix that paint. i was like why the hell do they have it listed on their site. I even put it into my cart and paid. needless to say, i asked for my money back, and don't think i'll be ordering paint online.
as for the ferrari red, that's a bummer. but would a paint shop be able to mix a very similar paint for much cheaper than authentic ferrari paint? lol

so you're saying I can choose any decent looking red and make it mirror like if I put a lot of layers of clear over it? how many layers we talkin?

pretty much... more than 2 medium coats of clear coat at least 4, but when you do that it tends to "orange peel" this is the reason why it is necessary to wet sand and buff back to shine!! very time consuming and very expensive! clear coat the more expensive part of the paint job hahahaha...

Checking through the Audi reds. I found Misano Red. looks like a nice deep red, but there a few shots where it looks to be orange. not sure if I like this.
Here's Misano Red and Volcano Red in the back I believe.
should I go for this? I'll be going to a paint store this week.
